Helping people ride the waves of recovery for lasting wellness.
At Point Break Recovery, our team is more than a group of professionals — we’re a community of people who truly understand what it means to rebuild a life. Each of us brings a unique combination of personal experience, professional training, and heartfelt dedication to helping others heal. Together, we create a safe, compassionate space where clients and families feel supported, understood, and empowered to begin their journey toward lasting recovery.

Marlenna Gomez
Program Director, Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor (CATC-I)
As the Program Director of Point Break Recovery, I am honored to be a part of the transformative journey that our clients embark upon. Having experienced the depths of addiction myself, I bring a unique and empathetic perspective to the individuals who walk through our doors. I understand the pain of letting down loved ones and, perhaps even more profoundly, the feeling of letting down oneself. No one consciously chooses substance abuse, but we all have the power to make the decision to change. For me, the decision to seek treatment was life-changing. I was lost, broken, and on the verge of giving up, but by accepting the help that was offered to me, I was able to rebuild my life in ways I once thought were impossible. This journey not only saved my life but led me to the rewarding opportunity of helping others do the same. After completing treatment, I pursued further education to better serve those who are facing the same struggles I once did. I now hold my credential as a Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor (CATC-I) and certificates of achievement in Addictive Disorder Studies, Addictive Disorders Studies in Criminal Justice, and Behavioral Health Work from Oxnard College. I have been working in the addiction and recovery field for over four years, and I can confidently say it is the most fulfilling work I have ever done. There is no greater privilege than being there for someone from the moment they walk through our doors and witnessing their transformation into a renewed, empowered individual. At Point Break Recovery, we are committed to providing the support, care, and guidance that our clients need to reclaim their lives and move forward with hope.
